Ryan Schaefer - Board President/Officer & Founder
Ryan Schaefer, our Board President and one of our founders, has been a driving force behind Discovering Pathways since its inception. His deep commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and his leadership in the community have laid the foundation for our organization. Ryan brings years of experience in human services, having worked extensively in both program development and advocacy. His vision for the future of Discovering Pathways inspires us to keep pushing boundaries, offering personalized services, and breaking down societal barriers.
Danielle Schaefer - Board Treasurer/Officer & Founder
Danielle Schaefer, our Board Treasurer and co-founder, brings over 20 years of experience in human resources and real estate to her role. With a passion for helping individuals with disabilities, Danielle is dedicated to fostering accessibility and creating meaningful opportunities for those we serve. Her expertise in strategic planning and financial management ensures the sustainability of our mission, while her attention to detail drives the efficient use of resources. Danielle’s unwavering commitment to Discovering Pathways is at the heart of her work, as she tirelessly strives to make a lasting impact in the community.
Arleen Hill - Board Secretary/Officer
Arleen Hill is a retired Occupational Therapist with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and 30 years of diverse professional experience. She spent 14 years with Walworth County’s Birth to Three Program, while also gaining expertise in Orthopedics, Wound Care, Mental Health, and Geriatrics. As the Board Secretary for Discovering Pathways, Arleen brings her exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to our mission. Her focus on maintaining transparency, accountability, and fostering a supportive environment for both individuals and their families has been integral to the success of our organization. Arleen’s legacy of dedication continues to shape the positive impact we have on the community.
Bobette Murar - Board Director
As a Board Director, Bobette brings 40 years of experience in the caregiving industry and a deep commitment to ethical treatment and putting individuals’ needs first. A licensed CNA, she has overseen numerous activities that enhance the lives of those in her care and has been a passionate advocate for dignity and compassion. Beyond her professional work, Bobette has also contributed to fundraising efforts supporting underprivileged youth, demonstrating her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the community.
Stephanie Sussex - Board Director
As a Board Director, Stephanie brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal passion to our organization. Currently serving as the General Manager of Cedar Dale Pet Resort and with 10 years of experience in healthcare, she brings strong leadership and organizational skills. As the mother of five children, including a son diagnosed with Oppositional Defiance Disorder and a daughter with Autism, Stephanie is a dedicated advocate for individuals with disabilities. She works tirelessly to ensure that the voices of those we serve are heard and respected, while continually seeking innovative ways to expand our services and deepen our impact in the community. Stephanie is an invaluable part of our leadership team, driven by her unwavering commitment to creating meaningful change.
